Aviles/Gomes dealt to Indians

The Mike Aviles era has ended rather quickly as the Jays have dealt Aviles to the Cleveland Indians along with utility man Yan Gomes for RHP Esmil Rogers.

In 53 innings of work last season, Esmil Rogers posted an ERA of 3.06 and went 3-1 with zero saves.

Rogers was signed as an amateur free agent in 2003 by the Colorado Rockies, Rogers is not eligible for free agency until 2017.
